Sascha was born in Oslo, Norway to Jamaican-Canadian and Norwegian parents. In 2013 he moved to New York to study Film and Television at NYU Tisch School of the Arts. In 2017 he completed a BFA degree with a major in directing and editing.
During his studies Sascha interned at several companies, including Milk Studios, Atlantic Pictures and Susan Sarandon’s Reframed Pictures. Since graduation Sascha has written feature length scripts for Lupi Pictures, worked as Chief Editor for the commercial production company JCB Haus and taught film analysis at Oslo’s leading High School in film. He is currently working as development coordinator at Mad Rabbit Productions and personal assistant for director Kari Skogland on her production for Marvel Studios’ The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.
In addition, he has directed projects for the National Bank of Norway, Salt Art Project, Møller Mentorship and Vulkana. He has also edited internationally televised commercials.
His thesis film Mountain People has won prizes for best film, editing, cinematography and original score at international festivals in London, Los Angeles, Berlin, and Scandinavia.
